I am a data-driven social scientist that has experience in the emergency management, environmental, and urban and regional planning fields. My enjoyment comes from research and taking different forms of data and trying to tell a story of it. I am also very academic research-oriented in nature and every day building the skills to take the academic world and knowledge and make them practical. All academic work can have a hook in a practical way in society today. After much thought, learning, and writing notes on community understanding and development, I have started to write my formal thoughts down on a blog. It’s all about exploring what a community is on the community’s level. Also about preparing to prepare.
My skills range from data analysis, online research, and validation of information both qualitative and quantitative. I have over five years of experience collecting and analyzing multiple different forms of data points and providing expertise in report generation, data collection, research analysis, and analytics for federal, state, and local stakeholders. One of my loves is research and taking that academic and making it practical.
