IAEM has endorsed the GIS Emergency Response Technology Sustainment Act (H.R. 6137) and sent the attached letter of support to the sponsors, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-19-FL) and Congressman Troy Carter (D-2-LA).

insights for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, and is fundamental to risk assessment and
decision-making processes. The GIS Emergency Response Technology Sustainment Act of 2023 ensures that
these vital resources continue to be available and are continually improved to meet the evolving demands of
emergency management."
