More good news related to this legislation...Senators Hassan (D-NH) and Lankford (R-OK) re-introduced the Senate version of the Disaster Management Costs Modernization Act. The new bill number is S.773. IAEM Government Affairs will work with the Senate Homeland Security Committee to hopefully schedule a committee markup of the bill sometime this spring.

We just got word this morning that the Disaster Management Cost Modernization Act will be marked up by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on Wednesday. Assuming the bill gets favorably reported, and I expect that it will, it could be up for a vote on the House floor in the very near future. More on this to come.

Here's some good news…the management cost bill has officially been re-introduced in the House by Congressman Neguse (D-CO). The new bill number is HR 744. I expect the companion bill in the Senate to be re-introduced soon.
