    IAEM will be participating in tomorrow's Wildfire Roundtable at 3:00 PM ET in Rayburn 2167 represented by Sonoma County Emergency Management Director, Jeff DuVall.  The session is hosted by the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management.     Goals for Roundtable:
    • Learn about the impacts of the recent wildfires in the Los Angeles area and the current state of recovery.
    • Discuss actions to improve FEMA's programs for wildfire mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
    • Examine the detrimental impacts dismantling FEMA, firing FEMA employees, and conditioning disaster assistance would have for the response to wildfires.
    • Examine the potential need for additional federal assistance and reforms to address wildfires.
    • Identify solutions that save lives and reduce burdens to local communities.
